Background

The Wessex Vehicle Preservation Club (WVPC) was formed in 1971, by a small number of enthusiasts, membership is open to all those interested in classic or vintage vehicles however you don't have to own a vehicle to become a member. Since its conception membership of the club has shown a steady increase with the club now being one of the largest multi-make motor clubs in the south of England. In line with members wishes the club was incorporated following the 2007 AGM so we are now officially known as Wessex Vehicle Preservation Club Limited.

Meetings

Wessex Vehicle Preservation Club meets at 7:30pm on the second Tuesday of each month at the Langton Arms situated in Tarrant Monkton near Blandford Forum, Dorset, DT11 8RX. Tel: 01258 830225. This is a very traditional country pub offering a wide range of ales and a large selection of meals should you require to eat before the club meeting, they also provide accommodation if required.

Club nights are very informal and friendly sometimes with guest speakers giving talks on a wide range of subjects such as hill climbing, vintage motorcycles or areas of local interest such as slides of old Poole town. Other Club nights just give you a chance to meet and chat to fellow enthusiasts, maybe even join in a game of skittles and of course to be updated on forthcoming events, such as the many classic car shows held around Dorset, Somerset, Hampshire and Wiltshire. All club nights are free to members and their guests, why not drop in and meet us. Membership expires 31st December each year.

Magazine

The club issues a monthly magazine "Wessex Ways" to all members covering a wide range of interesting news and views on the club, its members and what they get up to. It includes an updated list of forthcoming events and activities, so that you can plan which of the events you want to enjoy.
